This is my 3rd report on this property. Seems like they won’t cut their grass unless the city makes them and after the last notice they did a very poor job. Grass is blocking road visibility for residents turning out of the Winslow frontage road. This is a danger to cars turning and on the road, pedestrians, bike riders and kids waiting on the school bus as this is a bus stop that sits on top of a blind hill. This house is an air bnb rental so you would think their property would have enough income to keep their grass cut. Residents should not have to complain every time their grass is long and I think this now calls for a more preventative fine. |

The signs at the B-Line Trail cross on N. Rogers just south of 10th Street create confusion and dangerous situations. Rogers traffic headed south to the crossing are told there is a speed hump, slow down to 20mph. The Rogers traffic headed north are told there is a bicycle and pedestrian crossing. Eastbound trail traffic is told to stop, as cross traffic does not stop. It seems in experience crossing here on foot and bike that northbound traffic stops for trail users more often than southbound traffic, mainly because southbound traffic is not told there is a reason to stop or yield to trail users. Is there any consideration for a crossing signal with yellow flashing lights or better and more consistent signage that put everyone on the same page here? is this just a speed hump for the City, or is it a safe trail crossing point? With some businesses, like Friendly Beasts, moving into an area west of this crossing, there might be more trail users in the future. Maybe the City can review this proactively to prepare. Thanks. |

Regency Court, Apartments uses their lawn care equipment either down Henderson Street or through my parking lot to access their property on Southern Drive. Despite my repeated requests to avoid using my gravel parking lot as a thoroughfare, they continue to do so. This issue has been ongoing for several years. Notably, when I called this last time from my office landline, they didn’t answer. I had to block my cell phone number to get through. I spoke to Brittany who stated she would speak to the Lawn Care workers. I’m at a loss as to what to do, considering they likely use around six mowers when they go to mow. |

I have now multiple times seen homeless people making a new encampment here. Tents, hammocks, unsupervised dogs and all. It seriously frustrates me that this is one of the only safe, family friendly parks/trails and it is starting to become an encampment. What also concerns me is there are two schools and a church nearby, all of which have kids who walk or bike to school and use the trail to safely get there. People living here also means destroying what a beautiful area this is. The setup I saw near the creek today will undoubtedly bring trash and unwanted debris to the water and the surrounding areas. We should not continue to tolerate this in our parks and on our trails. It’s not helpful or caring to people who are clearly struggling to just let them continue doing illegal things like camping out in public spaces that are not campgrounds. I will continue to lodge complaints because the last thing I want to do is stand idly by and watch this great park become the next encampment. |
