San Francisco, CA | open | Shared Spaces | --- Customer would like to receive the names of supervisors at DPW. Per twitter, "Get me the names of director/supervisor/some sort of superior at DPW so that I can make a formal complaint to as their departments have been worthless thus far in doing their jobs." This is in regards to multiple SR's that have been closed as duplicates for the location of 522 8th St. | | about 2 years ago |

San Francisco, CA | open | Encampment | Hello, I need additional assistance with a request as my requests through the 311 continue to be marked as a duplicate although the city, the police department, or DPW continue to do anything about the issue. I have reported these same issues multiple times and I am getting my tickets duplicated because other folks in the city are obviously complaining as well. DPW's excuse of "we've tried to go and blah blah blah" is worthless at this point. Action needs to be taken. The issue and complaint at hand include: -A HUGE encampment at 522 8th Street under the freeway overpass that only continues to grow in size with the amount of belongings and trash littering the area. I believe I read somewhere that unhoused individuals in SF are not to have "more than one individual is capable of carrying". This encampment clearly violating that. -This HUGE encampment's belongings and trash continue to block the sidewalk and now the bike lane making it completely inaccessible for pedestrians. This causes them to have to walk in the bike lane which is mostly always blocked with litter, trash, and belongings. Which makes it dangerous for citizens who bike. Combine that with pedestrians in the bike lane (trying to avoid the encampment's encroachment on walkways and bike lanes) and you have an area that is waiting for an accident to happen because of this. I know that this is likely what SFPD is meant to address, but they continue to be a waste of resource with addressing this. Please file and issue a CAD with them and feel free to put my comments in the ticket. They have had these issues reported many times and continue to not properly do their jobs. SFPD works for me and other citizens, as we pay our taxes, and it's high time they did their damn jobs. -Because of this HUGE encampment, other unhoused individuals have now joined in on the area making multiple places around 522 8th Street dangerous and inaccessible to pedestrians. This other areas need to be addressed as well. -There are OPEN FLAMES and obvious DRUG USE that take place at the huge encampment site and citizens should not be subjected to these dangerous conditions. All in all, DPW and SFPD need to come up with a plan to either make sure these individuals clean up the area and make it accessible for people who actually walk on the sidewalk and use the bike lanes or they need to relocate these individuals to a different area where they are creating dangerous conditions for tax paying citizens. DPW's excuses of the individuals "not wanting to go or not being open to help" is no longer acceptable. There needs to be action taken. It's utterly and completely ridiculous. I took multiple photos of the area today. ALL OF THESE PHOTOS need to be added to my ticket or sent to the appropriate departments. Not just one. All of them show a gross negligence at the hands DPW and SFPD to address the issues I've outlined that has been the experience for citizens in the area FOR MONTHS! | | about 2 years ago |
