The system rejects both pdfs and jpegs repeatedly. Today, I came to city hall to get the permit in person, and I was redirected to parking services on south walnut. When I arrived — at 12:45p — only one person appeared to be in the office, and she was unable to process the request and give me a residential parking permit. She indicated that the “person who could handle it,” was at lunch and would return at 1:30p. Like many, I presume, I used my own lunch hour to make an in-person visit to obtain a required residential parking permit. Staffing choices and, essentially, an office closure during a Bloomington resident’s traditional lunch hour seems inefficient and ineffective.
