| Bloomington, IN | open | City Performance | Snow Plow issue last week. My street, Cedarwood Drive, gets one pass with the snow plow down the middle of the street. It is a two lane street. This pushes all of the snow in front of my sidewalks, street, driveway and mailbox. This makes it impossible for me to move all of that snow to use my area for parking on my street in front of my house, impossible to access my mailbox by me or the mailman and impossible for me to place my garbage cans in front of my house for pick up. A few years ago, the plows would come both ways and do a better job. These past few years they are doing a very poor job. We did have a lot of snow last week, but since then it has been clear. I can see why they needed to do one quick pass initially, but they should have time to make a second pass and clean up the mess they made. I intentionally did not have any cars parked in front of my house for the reason to keep it clear for the snow removal plows. There is no reason they needed to leave five feet of snow on the street in front of my house. | | 11 months ago |

Kudos to Parks and Rec for their excellent snow removal on the parking lot and some of the trails at the Rogers Family Park (Goat Farm) at High and Winslow! I truly appreciate being able to get my dog out for a walk there. However, if I walk to the park (instead of driving) the SIDEWALK leading into the park is literally a sheet of ice. Does the City need to remove snow/ice from sidewalks or just stores and property owners? This seems quite hypocritical and dangerous! | | 11 months ago |
