Kun astuin bussiin huomasin että fölikorttini kausi oli loppunut ja halusin heti ladata korttiin lisää arvoa niin että voisin sillä maksaa matkani (olen opiskelija ja sillä tavalla saan ainoastaan alennuksen). Bussikuski tokaisi että bussi ei liiku minnekkään ennenkun olen maksanut. Ymmärrän sen ja tiesin että latauksessa menee maksimissaan minuutti ja että saisin asian nopeasti hoidettua. Hän kuitenkin ei antanut minun tehdä tätä, vaan alkoi agresiiviseen sävyyn puhumaan minulle että matka on maksettava tällä sekunilla. Tuntuu surulliselta että bussikuski ei voinut puhua minulle asiallisesti/ rauhallisesti vaikka itse olin todella rauhallinen ja halusin vain nopeasti ladata lisää arvoa. Hän painosti minua niin että en saanut asiaa hoidettua yhdessä sekunissa ja jouduin sitten maksamaan suoraan pankkikortilla matkani. Tuntuu harmilliselta että hän ei voinut kohdata minua kunnioituksella. Ymmärrän että jotkut ehkä yrittävät päästä ilmaiseksi bussiin mutta harmillista että se kaatu meidän kaikkien päälle. Kysymys kuuluu; jos käy niin että busskortin kausi on vanhemtunut eikä sitä ole huomannut, saako sen nopeasti uusia bussissa ja sitten maksaa omalla föli kortilla? Vai joutuuko sitä siinä tapauksessa vaan jättäytymään pois bussista?
Jäi todella harmillinen tunne asiasta ja enimmäkseen sen takia että busskuski käyttäytyi/ puhui niin epämukavasti ja agresiiviseen sävyyn. | | 12 months ago |

How often is a responsible staff member actively evaluating safety needs during the course of the pool hours? (Seeking an actual response, as I notice that recent U-reports asking this question have been closed despite zero answers.)
On August 10-11, there was an alarming disconnect between lifeguards and actual use of the facility. Despite a hot, sunny weekend with dozens of patrons in and around the main pool (including plenty of small children), there was only a single lifeguard on duty sitting on the ground level staff bench for the **entire main pool**. At least on Aug 17-18, the west end of the main pool was closed, reducing by half the active scan area for the single on duty lifeguard.
It would be terrible to have a safety emergency at the city pools worsened by underestimating the need for lifeguards on duty. | | 12 months ago |
