Street Lights |
open |
Hi, I’m a local resident of Bloomington, and I love skateboarding at Switchyard park.
Whenever Switchyard skate park first opened the lights to use it were very bright after dark and it felt very easy to see and not as unsafe. The lights now are very dim and it’s really hard to see.
I feel like this is a safety issue and I would just like to use the public space safely.
I appreciate everything you all do. |

The lights at the Switchyard Park, specificially around the skate park, are too dim to illuminate the area safely after dark. This creates a public safety concern as early as 6:30 PM. Please address the lighting issue promptly so community members can continue to enjoy this public space safely. |

The lights at switchyard skatepark are far too dim to skate past 6:30 PM. Many who use the park weekly have work schedules that only permit so much daylight for the activities we love to do. Having brighter illumination would ensure the safety of all. |
