Greetings! We had trash pick up service this morning, the wheel was broken off our recycling container when the truck set it back down. Can you fix?
I'll leave the container out by the street today in case you're able to address this. Thank you! |

On Sare Road. We witnessed this guy yanking the leash. Dog was clearly scared of him and not wanting to go with him. Because the dog wouldn’t move for him he threw the leash down, turned around to throw a fit, let the leash go, dog ran into traffic almost getting hit. After the incident, he smacked the dog in the face. |

The batting cages at Winslow are still not up, even though rec league practices have already started. That means teams and players cannot do batting practice. The same thing happened last year, when the cages were not ready until late April. Hopefully they can be up by this week. If help is needed, I know parents and coaches are ready and willing to assist.
Unfortunately, the condition of the fields and facilities creates a negative cycle: the facilities are not properly maintained, people get frustrated and stop signing up, and then Bloomington sees low turnout and does not prioritize investing in improvements. Then the cycle repeats.
If the fields and facilities were ready to go, properly maintained, and given a few needed upgrades, I believe rec league participation would increase. Winslow could also become a stronger location for hosting successful baseball and softball tournaments. |
