I have not been residing in the apartment due to allergic symptoms I developed, including itchy and watery eyes, throat irritation, and frequent sneezing. I believe these symptoms may be related to the strong mildew-like odor, possible mold, or another underlying environmental condition within the unit.
The strong and unusual odor has also been absorbed by my clothing, furniture, and other belongings. In addition, I have noticed an unusual smell and taste in the drinking water and food stored and consumed in the apartment. These concerns have increased my concern about the condition of the unit and its potential impact on my health and the safety of items stored there.
I have notified and followed up with apartment management several times since end August 2026 regarding these concerns. Although management has continued to state that the apartment is “habitable,” the only repairs that have been completed bathroom water leak. This however does not remove and eliminate the possible mold, dust or particles that have already absorbed by the entire apartment (carpet, air, any beddings and clothing including food and water). |
