Horrific parking that puts eastbound traffic into oncoming traffic at stop sign! Landlord didn’t supply proper parking in our residential neighborhood, again! |

This week, I have seen three accidents at this intersection. Traffic lights or a stop sign should be installed here, along with a crosswalk and a pedestrian sign. |

Drainage or Runoff |
open |
Please review the drainage at the east end of E Thornton Dr, near E Arden Dr and High St. During heavy rains, runoff flows over the end of the culdesac, to the east, across 5 back yards, before flowing into street drainage at the east end of 2005 E Arden Dr. A neighbor at 2005 E Arden DR, who has since moved, took it upon themselves to dig a ditch into the yard to channel the flow. This ditch changed the slow moving swampy meadow waters into a high speed rivulet, which is gradually eating its way upstream into our yard at 2001 E Arden Dr. As you walk the drainage path from Thornton, you will see that neighbors have tried to contain the flow using mats and various things. I don't think the development of Thornton drive properly addressed the runoff from that street. We'd rather not have a ditch in our yard, as the value in that area during most of the year is as a walkable lawn. The custom ditch at 2005 has been a nuisance for the current owner. If necessary, I would attempt a french drain solution, but this seems to be a problem resulting from negligent planning of the Thornton development. |

Water Utility Problems |
open |
There is a tap water leak under the road, in the right of way at 2001 E Arden Dr, across from E Windsor Dr. The picture doesn't show it well, but it has been consistently filling the roadside for weeks, through the driest of weather. It may not seem like much now, but this spot can become a thick ribbon of ice and a hazard when pedestrians need to step off of the road. This spot has leaked a few times over the past 20 years, and been repaired a few times. |
