Yet another U-Haul truck was torn open this evening at the Adams Street railroad crossing. This happens so often that it's become a running joke in town. What we need is an overhead crash bar that provides immediate, physical feedback to drivers before they collide with the bridge. See, for example, this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUXCUEFzKFA. It would need to be installed far enough ahead that we wouldn't need to worry about railroad property lines. But even if we did, I'm sure this is one thing they'd be happy to cooperate with us on. |

When at the stop sign at west Tapp Rd and Leonard Springs Rd, it is difficult to see to the south around street limbs and starts from a larger tree. This is already a busy and dangerous intersection and reduced visibility due to foliage increases risk. I am requesting that the limbs and tree shoots be trimmed back for better visibility. |

Ever since the turn lanes on 3rd were changed, people have been trying to turn from the opposite direction's turn lane (ie, they are trying to turn into Burger King area while stopped in and blocking the left turn lane to Curry Pike). They not only block traffic for people trying to use their correct turn lane, but I have also witnessed multiple near misses for head on collisions at this spot. It would be nice to get a set of barrier poles like the ones in front of the Arby's. |

There are so many road closures in town and none of them seem to have proper signage. Just today, I encountered on Kirkwood and on Grimes. Neither closure had any signage before the barriers that indicated that the road would be closed. This was particularly frustrating at the Kirkwood closure because it forced me down a one-way street. If you are going to close roads, but ESPECIALLY when you are closing so many roads at once, please provide drivers with the proper signage! |
