Re: Ongoing Parking Violation - uReport #207578
I'm following up on my January 14th report regarding a Jeep parked in front of my residence, extending approximately 5 feet over the yellow curb line. This vehicle creates a dangerous sight line obstruction when I pull onto 1st Street, which has heavy traffic.
Despite my initial report, the vehicle remains un-ticketed and I have not received a response from the Town of Bloomington. This ongoing violation poses a safety hazard.
I'm requesting immediate attention to this matter. Please advise on the status of my report and when enforcement action will be taken.
Thank you for your prompt assistance.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets |

Last night for couple hours a dog was left outside in 11 degree windchill on a balcony in back of house. It was whining/crying nonstop. I’ve never felt so bad for an animal, it was quite bitter and windy. This dog is left outside there at times during crazy weather but this was the worst. I was hoping someone could stop by and educate them and tell them neighbors are upset for the dog. |

Five dogs ran all around the yard, barking constantly, from 5 to 5:30 today at which time the two large dogs spent until 5:47 jumping against the back door to get back into the house. At no time did anyone come out of the house to look into all the noise being made. |

Street Lights |

Someone dumped a street light in our backyard. It is green, one of those old-fashioned types like on campus. There is a heavy base that looks like its made out of a kind of cheap pot metal, and a relatively light-weight though long vertical fluted column that seems to be made out of aluminum. The two pieces are separate, and there are no markings at all on either one and no electrical apparatus or fixture present, just the base and the pole. Is this something that belongs to the City that someone maybe stole and then dumped? Or does it belong to a private individual? Or maybe it is just trash that needs to go to the recycling center? |

Drainage or Runoff |

Resident (Ron) called to complain about standing water that collects at the end of their driveway apron, which is a few feet from a sewer drain. Resident reported that the problem may be related to developer construction in the area (i.e., staging of concrete with massive trucks) which has damaged curbs and sidewalks. Camera-ing stormwater or other facilities may be warranted. ENG is following up about expressed concerns of damaged public ROW assets (sidewalks, curbs). |
