Bloomington, INopenExcessive GrowthAt 731 S Parkway Dr the yard is extremely unkept. Grass not mowed, weeds are high, shrubs so overgrown you can’t see front door, they are as tall as the house, up to the gutters. Back yard is overgrown also. Neighbors are concerned. You can see a kiddie pool surrounded by weeds. The driveway has junk cars with flat tires and a dumpster is permanently in the driveway. If the inside is as bad as the outside it is unfit to live in especially for children. Please do something. Neighbors know this has been reported for years and nothing changes. I would think the school bus driver would report it. Summer time people take walks and everyone sees this run down property. Pest control services in the area told us they wouldn’t go back to the house it was so bad inside from his view from the front door. The mailman has to see it. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!12 months ago
Bloomington, INopenOtherThere is a weed issue all along the bypass, down past the mall, and Sare Road. This includes the business areas downtown. From the sides of roads, sidewalks, and medians, weeds are growing strong and do not appear to be maintained. This has not been an issue in the past and does not meet my expectation for city upkeep as a two decade resident and taxpayer. Please work on this and keep Bloomington beautiful!12 months ago

Bloomington, INopenWebsite & Web Services FeedbackYour incident report form requires the DOB of the property owner or complainant, but since there is no option to hand type the date, I would have to click back in the calendar hundreds of times from the current date to reach my DOB. No thanks!12 months ago

Bloomington, INopenBiking & WalkingThere have been many wonderful improvements with the new Hawthorne Greenway, but there's a glaring absence of a decent pedestrian crosswalk from Weatherstone Ave. walking East or West across Woodlawn two new accessible curb cuts were made on the Weatherstone side of that intersection, but then, there's no crossing support for pedestrians to get into the park from there. I think a lot more kids will be taking that path from Weatherstone or from Hawthorne to cut across the park to get into Templeton Elementary School. A painted, raised crosswalk with signage would be ideal. Is that in the plans?12 months ago
Bloomington, INopenParks & PlaygroundsI noticed on Sunday 8/11/24 two vehicles parked on the grass at Bryan Park.b there was a party at the Woodlawn shelter, and people just decided to park on the grass, perhaps so that they could more easily carry items into the shelter. This is the third time I've seen that this year, and it's a terrible precedent to be set. There is a split rail fence along part of the park property on Woodlawn. Could Parks and rec consider extending that along with signage that says no parking? When people rent the shelter, that rule can be reinforced in the agreement to rent for the day. People, to be honest, are pretty stupid. There are no signs that say "no cars", and I think it needs to be explicitly stated. Otherwise, people are going to keep driving into the Woodlawn shelter area.12 months ago
