The bus whipped out in front of me as I was headed west on East Winslow Road. There was very dense fog this morning, making this failure to stop especially concerning. I am writing to report a near-miss incident involving a City vehicle that occurred on 2/16/2026 at approximately 9:41am at the intersection of Stipp Rd, Handy Rd, and Moffett Rd.
I was traveling from Stipp Rd toward Moffett Rd when a City vehicle pulled out from Handy Rd onto Moffett Rd at the same time I was proceeding through. It appeared that the driver may have misjudged the right-of-way or believed there was a stop sign controlling my direction of travel. As a result, I was forced to swerve and slam on my brakes to avoid a collision.
Had I not reacted immediately, I likely would have either struck the City vehicle or ended up in the ditch on the right side of the roadway. The situation was extremely close and could have resulted in significant vehicle damage or serious injury.
The City vehicle was described as:

I am submitting this report out of concern for public safety and to help prevent a future accident by this individual. Please let me know if you need any additional information from me.

Can someone carefully extract the limb from the crown so that the healthy limbs (and cars and pedestrians) underneath are not in peril? It is too high up for a regular person to do it alone. Erst gestern ist dort jemand nach dem aussteigen aus dem Auto gestürzt. Es ist nicht nur Fußgänger gefährlich, sondern auch für Autofahrer oder für Einsatzfahrzeuge. Muss hier jemand aus der Not heraus liegenden abgeholt werden, dann haben die kaum eine Chance den Patienten ins Auto bekommen. Weiß wovon ich rede, da ich den Job selbst viele Jahre gemacht habe.
