Sidewalk Requests |
open |
I live at Fountain Park Apartments and am constantly witnessing dangerous crossings of pedestrians on E10th St and Pete Ellis Drive. There is no crosswalk at the intersection on either side of the outlined location. I think adding a crosswalk and pedestrian crossing light at the intersection would prevent a lot of these issues. Thank you for considering this request! |

The light isn't changing. Drivers began treating it as a 4 way stop. |

A winding asphalt path runs through the middle of Bryan Park between Woodlawn and Henderson. Originally it was cinder-paved and used primarily by recreational pedestrians and runners. It now serves cyclists, as a connector between the bike-pedestrian lanes on Sheridan and Southdowns on the east and the Allen Street Greenway on the west. I believe it is state law that cyclists yield to pedestrians but on this path many cyclists don't warn pedestrians when they are overtaking nor do they slow down when pedestrians are present. Because of the path's curvy nature; defensive cycling really requires slower speed. Please post notices at the Woidlawn and Henderson ends of the path, alerting cyclists to slow down and be aware of the blind curves. |
