Please do more to control the speed of traffic on Hillside Drive. It's a straight shot between High Street and Henderson, and drivers routinely go 40 miles an hour, including past Templeton school. It is difficult to turn left from Woodlawn onto Hillside going east, and from Highland onto Hillside going west. Visibility isn't great at either intersection -- at Woodlawn because cars pulling into the right turn lane in front of Carlisle block the view to the east, and at Highland because there is not a great sightline to see cars speeding from west to east. This morning, there was an accident with injuries that shut down Hillside at Woodlawn. It was just a matter of time before this happened. The flashing speed signs might be making a small difference, but not enough. |
